  • Overview

    Repair and maintain production machinery and equipment in functional and safe working order to support production operations.


    **$2,500 Sign-On Bonus**

    **$1.00/hour Shift Differential**

    **Quarterly Bonus Payments Averaging 5%**

    • Repair and maintain the equipment and machinery on all assigned production lines applying mechanical, electrical, electronic and hydraulic principles in accordance with diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturers specifications.
    • Use a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments & PC’s to perform assignments.
    • As needed, operate and program numerically controlled (NC/CNC) equipment and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s). Utilize equipment-specific software for set up, programming & troubleshooting of automation devices, including (but not limited to) robots, linear actuators, servo drives, variable frequency drives, HMI screens & vision systems.
    • Inspect and listen to sounds of machines and equipment to locate causes of trouble.
    • Interact with production personnel to ascertain equipment problems and observe equipment to determine what repairs or modifications are necessary.
    • Assemble new machines and equipment and start them as needed to test their operations.
    • Dismantle equipment to remove and repair defective parts.
    • Set up and operate metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, grinder, mill, band saw and welding equipment as needed to make and repair parts.
    • Perform preventive maintenance requirements on production line equipment and record maintenance programs.
    • Perform record-keeping duties to document maintenance schedules, work orders, purchases, and inventories.
    • Assist and train production personnel on preventive and troubleshooting maintenance procedures.
    • Notify supervisor of any irregular maintenance problems.
    • Routinely check equipment for potential safety hazards and implement safety improvements promptly after a need is identified.
    • Operate material handling equipment including forklifts. (Requires a valid forklift driver's license by completing MEAA certification requirements.)
    • Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in clean and orderly manner.
    • Work overtime on short notice, as needed.
    • Understand and actively participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
    • Order parts as needed to maintain and/or improve equipment and equipment function.
    • Assist in maintaining and improving quality of parts.



    • High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree, or dedicated program in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering very helpful.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years high-speed manufacturing environment.
    • Machine maintenance and diagnostic/troubleshooting experience required.
    • Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge required
    • Familiarity with safety precautions such as Lock-out/Tag-out, Arc Flash protection, welding, and personal protective equipment.
    • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and other machinery.
    • Computer literate.
