  • Overview

    Under limited supervision, acts as a liaison between our customer (engineering, purchasing, and program teams), the Advanced Mobility Engineering Team (R1 Global Development Team), factories, and affiliate sales team members globally (Ie. USA, Brazil, EU and China). Initiates business development activities including relationship building internally (cross-functional teams) and with the customer. Acts as Single Point of Contact to the customer specific to the R1 program globally. Supports complex issues regarding product planning, testing, reporting, and change management. Presents technical reports and product information internally and to the customers. Studies and reports business and market intelligence (products, competitors, trends) as part of the business development function. Is lead Negotiator globally to manage change requests, quality reports, status reports, and complexity mitigation.



    Product Knowledge including but not limited to

    • IVI Hardware, Software, project management, and technical sales.
    • Support knowledge in connectivity products (HUD, Displays, RSE, etc.).

    Relationship Management

    • Builds and maintains key customer relationships for Adv. Mobility Products. Via business and market intelligence understands trends of customers and competitors in the mobility space.
    • Document and track issues and schedule. With the program management team, maintain both through the life of the project(s).
    • Work directly with Adv. Mobility Team ( Customer Project Team specific) including Executive Director and Program Manager on daily basis to meet project goals and targets.
    • Works with cross-functional sales team or customer team (virtual teams) within MEAA and MELCO globally to achieve program success.
    • Provides voice of the customer responses written and verbally to the global team and provides insight on next actions with the customer

    Sales Lead

    • Maintaining and understanding requirements documents.
    • Be able to “fill in the holes” in explaining requirements to our design team.
    • Be able to creatively suggest additional features and requirements that a customer may want
    • Develop and execute sales strategy and manage business plan for group products.
    • Manage, compile, and submit customer change requests. Provides feedback to the global team and leads all communication with the customer globally as needed including (Brazil, USA, EU, and China)


    • Support teleconference meetings with our design team in Japan (typically outside of normal working hours)
    • Limited travel to Japan for meetings with our design team and marketing teams
    • Extensive travel to customers’ and partner sites for meetings and presentations globally
    • Analyzes current processes, procedures and systems and makes recommendations for improvement for the group.
    • Support and make recommendations to improve Company policies and procedures.

    For Quality and applicable site specific Environmental Systems, the associate is responsible for understanding:


    MEAA’s policy and be able to fully discuss the importance of the policy and how his/her job can impact the customer and the environment.

    The risks and consequences associated with deviating from management system procedures and the effect this can have on his/her employment at MEAA.

    Associates responsible for conformity to product requirements have the authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problems.

    The associate has the responsibility and authority to immediately inform supervision or management if another associate or department deviates from proper practices that may impact safety, quality, or the environment. 


    • BSCS, BSEE, or BSME required. MSEE, MSME, or MBA highly desired. Or equivalent experience.
    • 10+ yrs. minimum experience automotive engineering, sales, project management, etc.
    • Detailed understanding of vehicle electrification, connectivity and autonomous products and systems.
    • Understanding of Cyber Security threats and solutions, functional safety requirements, etc.
    • Strong written, verbal, and cross-cultural communication skills.
    • Strong personal soft skills
    • Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Office programs, databases, web portals, etc.
    • Extensive experience with DET3 customers.
    • Extensive knowledge and experience launching IVI systems and working within a global team.
