  • Overview

    Strategically design, administer, and communicate total rewards programs, including compensation and benefits, of multi-location organization to attract, retain, engage, and motivate associates. Lead business planning and analytics for HR to improve accuracy and effectiveness of Company policies and programs.

    Responsibilities

    COMPENSATION

    • Develop and implement salary structure and administrative guidelines in accordance with compensation policy.
    • Ensure all job descriptions are compliant with the ADA and FLSA.
    • Support and develop Corporate Payroll Coordinator in compensation responsibilities and initiatives.
    • Conduct job analysis to determine appropriate salary levels for positions according to established compensation guidelines.
    • Analyze Company’s compensation policies and recommend changes as appropriate to establish and maintain competitive and equitable compensation levels.
    • Recommend and administer special compensation programs or incentive systems to support the Company's objectives.
    • Participate in the administration of the performance management system to ensure compliance with salary administration guidelines.

     

     

    BENEFITS

    • Plan and direct implementation and administration of benefit programs such as locally-managed health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, workers’ compensation, employee assistance, retirement, and other plans. Work with brokers, insurance companies, and representatives from other Mitsubishi Electric locations regarding plan design and administration.
    • Support and develop Corporate Benefits Coordinator in benefits responsibilities and initiatives.
    • Support the preparation and communication of information to associates and former associates about total rewards programs.
    • Analyze benefits experience for cost-control and risk-assessment factors. Work with Benefits Coordinator to recommend benefit plan design changes to control costs and maintain competitive programs.
    • Analyze and evaluate services, coverage, and options available through benefit providers and brokers to determine programs best meeting the needs of the organization.
    • Ensure employee benefits data integrity is appropriately maintained in automated human resources information systems. Coordinate transfer of data to external vendors, plan providers, auditors, and consultants.
    • Negotiate and contract with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors, and consultants for services, premiums, and plan administration.
    • Maintain knowledge of and analyze government regulations, benefit program trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations.
    • Consult with managers and health care professionals to evaluate the need for, develop, and implement accommodations, return-to-work, light-duty, and other responses for employees with disabilities.
    • Develop, recommend, and monitor budget allocations for benefits.
    • Develop and manage wellness programs and others initiatives to assist in containing benefits costs.

     

     

    HRIS/ANALYTICS

    • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise for all data management needs within the team.
    • Deliver scalable platform that enables robust analytics by integrating talent data from various sources.
    • Develop and implement roadmap for ongoing evolution of talent analytics data eco-system.
    • Bring creative problem solving to bridge data gaps.
    • Lead the department’s generation and analysis of workforce analytics to support the labor cost budgeting for the Company’s semi-annual business planning process (BP and BPR).
    • Support the necessary labor and headcount reporting needed to drive the business analytics (Staffing, Overtime, MDW reports, etc.).

     

    OTHER

    • Travel to other Company locations as needed.
    • Support and make recommendations to improve Company policies and procedures.
    • Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Human Resources Department by serving as a resource to all associates and locations in the area of total rewards.

    The associate is responsible for understanding:

    • MEAA’s environmental policy and be able to fully discuss the importance of the policy and how his/her job can impact the environment.
    • The risks and consequences that deviating from documented procedures/practice can have on the environment and on his/her employment at MEAA.
    • The associate has the responsibility and authority to immediately inform supervision or management if another associate or department deviates from proper environmental practices.

     

     

    IATF 16949

    The associate is responsible for understanding:

    • MEAA’s quality policy and be able to fully discuss the importance of the policy and how his/her job can impact the customer.
    • The risks and consequences that deviating from documented procedures/practice can have on the customer, quality system and on his/her employment at MEAA.
    • The associate has the responsibility and ability to suspend production when product quality has become questionable.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or related discipline, plus a minimum of five years’ experience in a related position, or equivalent. Relevant professional designations, such as CEBS, SPHR, PHR, CBP, CCP, etc., are a plus.
    • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and cross-cultural communication skills.
    • Data systems experience, specifically integrating data from disparate systems.
    • Experience implementing data standards and governance to tightly manage data quality and integrity.
    • Knowledge of current data management and business intelligence developments, trends and tools.
    • Experience in a consultative capacity with a strong team collaboration orientation.
    • Strong communication skills that can bridge technical topics to non-technical audiences.
    • Strong project management skills.
    • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office programs, focusing on Excel. Prior experience with HRIS and ERP systems a plus.
